Can we believe State Police Chief statement ''suspect slashed himself on his neck and arms as he was being taken to Seremban Court...'?

Well, do we believe Malaysian police anymore? There has just been too many incidents of death in police custody and findings that police have been responsible for these 'torture', some of which has resulted in death...

Coupled with the lack of enthusiasm of the police to 'reveal the truth' especially when police are the perpetrators of the crime.

Now, the State police chief is alleging that the 'suspect slashed himself on his neck and arms as he was being taken to Seremban Court from Nilai police headquarters'... well, it defies logic. A man, probably in handcuff, who would have been deprived of all items that he could use to slash himself...so, could that happen.

Death in custody - well too many times have the police claimed that they did not cause it, and calls for an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) was ignored - and the government set up their own EAIC(Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission), and guess what 1,028 out of the total 1485 complaints received since 2011 is concerning the police

Well, the EAIC media statements indicate that there have been 3 inquiries concerning death in police custody, and in 2 inquiries, the conclusion has been that the police is at fault.

As such, it is really hard for people to believe the police when they say they were not responsible and that the 'suspect slashed himself on his neck and arms as he was being taken to Seremban Court from Nilai police headquarters'...

Negeri Sembilan police chief says suspect slashed himself on his neck and arms as he was being taken to Seremban Court from Nilai police headquarters.

Jaafar-Mohd-Yusof

SEREMBAN: The police have rubbished an allegation by a rape suspect that he was beaten up by policemen on May 25, requiring him to receive 50 stitches at a hospital here.

State police chief, Jaafar Mohd Yusof said the 27-year-old suspect had instead slashed himself with a small folding knife that was concealed in his bag when he was taken to the Seremban Court to obtain a remand order.

“The suspect slashed his neck and arms when he was taken to the Seremban Court from the Nilai police headquarters.

“Apart from him, there were 14 other suspects taken to the court for remand orders. We found that the suspect’s injuries were self-inflicted, based on the statements obtained from the other suspects,” he told a press conference at the Negeri Sembilan police headquarters here today.

Jaafar said the policeman who escorted the suspect had stopped the police truck about a kilometre from the court upon realising what had happened, and sent him to hospital.

He said investigations would also be conducted on the four policemen who escorted the suspect.

It was reported that the suspect claimed to have been beaten up by policeman at a warehouse in Bandar Baru Nilai before he was taken to the Nilai police headquarters where he alleged he was again beaten up.

The suspect is facilitating police investigations into a rape case involving an underaged victim.
