Through the racist eyes of Najib...

Why does Najib see Malaysians in terms of ethnic groups - Malays, Indians, Chinese, Eurasians (including Pak Lah's wife), Mongolians, Sri Lankans, etc....

Why can't he just see them all as Malaysians....

Why can't he just see them all as people of Permatang Pauh...

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak made a plea to the Chinese and Indian communities in Permatang Pauh - come back to the Barisan Nasional's fold.

MCPX
He told them to reject the opposition and vote for Umno's Arif Shah Omar Shah in the Aug 26 by-election. - Malaysiakini, 19/8/2008, Najib wants Indians, Chinese to back BN
This is one the reasons why I would reject Najib and the BN - they do not see people as Human Beings, God's creation, Malaysians....

After 50 years in power, finally Najib admits the governments failure with regard to the Indian community - by that formation special cabinet committee was formed to look after the well-being of the Indian community. (Will there be special communities for the Orang Asli, the Ceylonese, the Sri Lankans, the Thais, the Eurasians, the Baba communities, the Chettys, the Mamak and/or the Kaka communities, the Hokkien communtity, ...for if there is none then again minority groups are being discriminated against....and until they form an Action Force and go to the street in protest, they will be marginalized....)
Talking specifically about the Indian community, Najib, also the deputy BN chairperson, said that a special cabinet committee was formed to look after the well-being of the Indian community who had long complained of being marginalised by the Umno-led BN government.

He also said that the government was doing much to increase the educational opportunities of the Indian community.

He was reported in Bernama as saying that vocational and skills training courses were conducted for those living in the estates.

And specifically for the Indian voters in Permatang Pauh - numbering some 3,500 voters - Najib said the government has agreed to approve scrap metal collector's licence for them.

He also announced aid for three Tamil primary schools and six Chinese primary schools.- Malaysiakini, 19/8/2008, Najib wants Indians, Chinese to back BN

And Najib's solutions are pathetic :-
- SCRAP METAL COLLECTOR'S LICENCE
- vocational and skills training courses for those living in the estates (Hello...not all Indians live in estates,...and you really should go to the estates and you will find that the ethnic composition of estates have changed so much...)
- Tamil schools (you have to realize that there are other Indians - Malayalees, Telugus, Gujeratis, Punjabis, Sinds, Goanese, etc in Malaysia - not just Tamils (and there are many Tamils who do not read and write Tamil let alone attend Tamil schools...

Really, Najib should be silent - he is so insulting when he speaks in the manner...

One thing that Najib is not at all addressing is the question of the Temples that the government allowed to be demolished - will it be re-build for the communities?

One thing that Najib is not at all addressing is when will he be releasing Uthayakumar and the 4 others, who did awaken minority Indians to stand up and demand an end to discrimination and other rights abuse...

SCRAP metal license and some donations to some Tamil schools is really not the way of addressing the problem...

And, in fact all communities will be happy if you just started treating Malaysians as Malaysians - irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, cultural background, economic background, political affliations, etc - just treat us all EQUALY as human persons...as creatures of God. Help them who are poor and underpriviledge. Distribute wealth and opportunities equitably...

Just appeal to the people of Permatang Pauh for their support --

    None, I dare say.

What we have is copious nauseating cliches or repulsive racist treats, blackmails or moronic inanities.

Amazing that we have put up with such low level civil servants for so so long.

  6. I totally agree with you. When I was studying in the US I would tell people who asked for my nationality that I was a Malaysian. Back here in Malaysia you are identified by your ethnic group. So I am Chinese and feel more Chinese by the day instead of a Malaysian. The foundation of this nation does not bring the various ethnic groups together... bring everyone under one umbrella as Malaysians. We are still following the old colonial systems and ideaology by segregating citizens in their ethnic groups. Nothing good has ever happened when race formed the foundations of a nation. Just look at the Nazis in Germany, Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda... The first step to uniting Malaysians is to stop calling people by their ethnic groups... Politicians should set an example.

  7. These promises are superficial and does not lead to a better lives for all Malaysians. Najib still doesnt get it, we want to see :

    1. No more racial politicking and slamming other races.

    2. We want to see our country 's resources put to full uses for all Malaysians instead of cronies. He should go to Kajang Hospital and see the conditions while the spanking new Serdang Hospital is full of overpriced equipment but limited staff and patients have to go to the cramped Kajang Hospital.

    3. We want to see more open tenders so that our taxes paid are made to full use for the country and not cronies.

    4. We want the police to be totally revamped and put it back to its past glory with more honest and truthful staff.

    5. We want the judiciary to gain back its respect, so again a revamp.

    6. We want to see our universities gain back its international recognition by employing good lecturers and administrators and improve the quality of our graduates.

    7. We want to see the end of APs, again why gives free money to cronies who dont have to lift a hand?

I have to stop as the list is just too long. BN might as well resign and let PKR takes over, so that my fingers dont ache. At the current moment, any blindman can still be a better PM.

  8. so najib is the racist.

uthayakumar and his gang should have mentioned AIMST and Manipal College. and if i to go deeper, i would suggest u, yes u, and those thousand gone to street ILLEGALLY (including that infamous 5) last time, to thank Samy Vellu.

but naaaah, i bet u any money, they will never do that. neither will u. any money.

the simple fact that matters is, there are a huge portion of medical doctors, regardless of their specific field, are indians. and those 2 IPTs are funded entirely by the indian community. I can tell u straight away AIMST in Semeling, Kedah is by MIC. thats why i said u must thank Samy for that matters.

education is the most important. the indians are taking huge steps foward on this. yes, samy is not real Sami and he entirely touchables, but thats his success for indian community.

so, its not about being looked after or indians are damned not good. its all about whether YOU CAN LOOK AFTER YOURSELF. and government, through various agencies and NGOs, not to mention political wings, has never look down or look half eye to indians.

scrap metal license is a good start. why not u see it that way?

i am suprise u not mentioning anwar being racist. i heard his speech at some large chinese communities, and he mention about 20% of itm to be offered to them.

and when he moves to malay areas, he says he WILL ALWAYS take care of malays previledges. thats mean, no 20% or 5% or 100% openings to other races on that itm subject.

but naaaaaaah. u dont see it that way. because u have selective views on things.

thats what make politics (even though it stinks) sells!

  10. It is an insult to the people of PP when Najib offered the scrap metal licence and aid to chinese & tamil schools. He throws peanuts & he expects the people to dance with tin cans in hand in gratitude. Reject him! Reject BN! Bungkus them out of PP!
By the way, as an ex-educator's observation:
    - are we doing the young Indian children a service or disservice by sending them to tamil primary schs?
    - the standard of BM, sad to say, is far from satisfactory.
    - there are no secondary tamil schools unlike chinese schools.
    - to continue their secondary education the students have to go to national schools where they face problems with their poor command of BM.
    - many of these students drop out of schools when they can't cope with their lessons
