44 police officers infected by Covid-19 - Did they stop you, arrest you, detain you,...? Full details please.

Police officers have been infected by Covid-19, and it must be disclosed which police stations(and police districts) that they come from.

On 5th, it was reported 33 police officers infected...and a day later, it was reported that it was now 44....In one day, 10 more police officers. Were they infected by other police officers? PLEASE UPDATE US ON THIS DAILY!

Meanwhile, Hamid said so far, 33 members of the police force have been confirmed positive with Covid-19 and their family members, totalling 750 people, have been ordered to be quarantined."An officer has died from Covid-19 ... - Star, 5/4/2020

Abdul Hamid said to date, 44 officers and policemen had tested positive for Covid 19, and another 900 were ordered to self-quarantine at home. "This includes an Inspector who tested positive today, whereby his close contacts were also quarantined at home, ” he added.- Star, 6/4/2020

The police have been arresting, detaining, questioning, escorting suspects to court, etc > and many people are now worried whether they may have come into close contact with these infected police officers(and/or their close contacts, who have now been placed under 'self-quarantine'...

People are practicing 'social distancing' but then this may be ignored when the police arrest, detain or even transport people from point of arrest to police station, from police station to court..

Which police station or police districts are the infected police officers from? Has the entire police/security forces that worked with these police officers been quarantined...or 'self-quarantined'? In the past, when one person was detected to be infected by Covid, the entire office and/or building is 'shut down' and sanitized - and all working there asked to 'self quarantine' for 14 days at the very least.

Now, the IGP tells us a day later that 44 police officers have been infected, and what is disturbing, there is no mention of any police stations being shut down, and all police officers there have been self-quarantined?

SAFETY FIRST - during this period, and the police station being the place that many members of the public also go for various reports and reasons > BEST to shut down these police stations where these Covid-19 police officers worked in and/or from...We do not want police officers or police stations to become another 'cluster group'...

Stay safe police officers and others in the front line...Police officers, by reason of their duties meets so many people even during enforcement of MCO work ...

Mr police man, please do stay 1 meter from me > because now you are an 'high-risk' group, and I want to be safe from Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) conducts daily sanitation of its lockups nationwide to curb the spread of the Covid-19 infection.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (pic) said such a directive, for the daily sanitation of lockups, had been issued to all OCPDs.

"PDRM always discharges its duties by taking into account human rights and all quarters should understand the work of the police," he said at Bukit Aman here.

Meanwhile, Hamid said so far, 33 members of the police force have been confirmed positive with Covid-19 and their family members, totalling 750 people, have been ordered to be quarantined.

"An officer has died from Covid-19, and there are those who were infected by the virus with history of travelling abroad and also some who got the virus from the tabligh cluster,” he added.

Hamid said all police personnel tasked with enforcing the movement control order (MCO) were instructed to wear face masks and use hand sanitizer.

"There is a standard operating procedure (SOP) at roadblocks, which include not allowing the policeman on duty to touch the vehicles that stop, and also to wash their hands often,” he added.

He advised the public to comply with the MCO to help break the chain of the Covid-19 infection.

"MCO is enforced not to inconvenience the people, but for their safety, where everybody should understand and comply with the order,” he added.- Bernama  - Star, 5/4/2020
