Covid-19 - Daily Money from Government for private sector/self-employed affected by workplace closure/quarantine/infected?(Less than RM2k monthly income)

DAILY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY GOVERNMENT for private sector workers and/or self employed affected by Covid (Workplace Closures, Quarantine,Admitted to Hospital) - cause their family/dependents also need to live

Workers in the private sector and the self-employed need definite assistance from the government - they are the workers that lose jobs and/or income because of Covid-19, whilst government, local council and statutory bodies workers generally still get their month payment and have employment security...

COVID-19 - what happens when a worker or a self-employed are forced to be 'quarantined' or gets infected and is admitted because of Covid-19. Do they get paid - do they get paid sick leave? Government could have passed a law, extending entitlement to paid sick leave ...or a special 'paid quarantine leave' or 'paid Covid-19 leave'. At least, then the workers who cannot work because of quarantine or the place have been shut down temporarily cause Covid will still get paid.

Remember, when a shop and/or shopping complex gets closed down because of Covid-19, there are so many workers that are affected..

Minimum daily payment by government(for all private sector workers andself employed earning less than RM2,000) of at least RM50 per day - for days they are forced to be under quarantine - for days their workplaces had to be closed for Covid - for days they are admitted in hospital for Covid. WHY? The worker and their families still need to LIVE and for that minimum assistance is needed. [This payment for private sector workers and self employed only - but not if they are enjoying paid sick leave]

Everyday we hear of several workplaces being shut down because of Covid - what happens to the workers there - are they still getting paid or not? If not, government must help ...

In Malaysia, some workers are still daily-paid - they are just paid for the days they work. So if they work Monday to Friday but not on weekends, they just get paid for that 5 days...this system is archaic, and should not exist - and every worker should enjoy paid rest days, paid public holidays, paid sick leave and paid annual leave...

Thanks to failure of the BN, PH Plus and now PN government, many workers in the private sector do not even have EMPLOYMENT SECURITY - many now are being employed on short/fixed term contracts usually for 1 year. That means after the contract period, they have no jobs and/or income - and have to find new jobs/employment. > GOVERNMENT COULD HAVE USED THEIR EXISTING POWER IN MALAYSIAN LAW TO REQUIRE THAT ALL WORKERS ARE EMPLOYED AS REGULAR EMPLOYEES (employment guaranteed until retirement or retrenchment or resignation or termination by reason of serious misconduct) - but sadly, our Malaysian government did not do so...
