If Malaysians are HAPPY with Anwar Ibrahim continuing to be Prime Minister, say so. If not, then let us act fast - towards getting a BETTER Prime Minister. There is NO SHORTAGE of qualified MPs, even if they are not party leaders, who can be a PRIME MINISTER - all we need a GOOD person, who will also LISTEN and do right - not someone who does whatever he likes - or refuses to listen and take on other's good suggestions...
Is it time for the Malaysian People to 'WAKE UP" and decide whether we still want Anwar Ibrahim to remain as the Malaysian Prime Minister or NOT? A Prime Minister can remain Prime Minister only if the majority of Members of Parliament(MPs)- the peoples' representative wants him to. So, now the people needs to communicate, nay instruct, their respective MPs what they want.
Members of Parliament, do not be self-centred and concerned about the 'power' and other personal/financial benefitsyou have now and may lose if Anwar Ibrahim is ousted as Prime Minister - CONSIDER only the best for Malaysia and Malaysians, and the will of your constituents - you are the peoples' representatives. Be brave, and do not simply follow the order of party leaders and the party - after all you are elected by people as peoples' representatives...DISCARD the mentality that has plagued Malaysian parliamentarians, if we are MPs from governments that form the government, we support whatever the PM/Government says or does and do not support anything raised by MPs from the Opposition, and if we are Opposition MPs, we oppose all the government says/does. This mentality must be abandoned and changed TO listening and considering views/opinions from fellow MPs, regardless of their party affiliation, and deciding and even supporting what is GOOD and rejecting what is BAD. This is the kind of MATURE MPs that Malaysia really need - what people wants...a responsible MP acting on personal values and principles not a 'LOYAL follower of the orders of Party or Party leaders'.
Government MPs - beware that you will be blamed for all the WRONGS done by the Prime Minister unless you speak up, and disclose your views transparently about the actions/omission of the PM and the government - Do you agree 100%, or do you not? BE BRAVE MPs of Malaysia ... behave like peoples' representatives not party or party leaders 'YES MEN OR WOMEN' - Be Human... not just a unthinking party or party leader's loyal unthinking follower...
Let's evaluate:-
1) The US-Malaysia trade deal that was signed by Anwar on behalf of Malaysia. There was no prior transparent discussion, or Parliamentary approval sought before Anwar signed this Agreement. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, there is also no clear law or provision in our Constitution that says that any such Agreements require the explicit approval of Parliament before it becomes VALID and enforceable - should we not have such a LAW to prevent any future PM to sign agreements/deals that are detrimental to Malaysia/Malaysians which may bind Malaysia even after the said PM is no more.
Did
Anwar make Malaysia a US crony - now forced support US sanctions on
other countries? If US takes 'economic' action against supporters of
Palestine, N. Korea, China and Russia - will Malaysia follow?
2) The FAM-Fifa Scandal - another major embarrassment. Looks like Malaysia is so desperate to win to the extend of getting foreigners to become Malaysian citizens, so that these 'new citizens' can play for Malaysia. The recent scandal that FIFA highlighted is a question of provision of fraud/forged documents, which naturally implicate Malaysian government's Ministries and Departments - evidence proving the parents/grandparents of these foreign players were born in Malaysia - making them 'heritage players' to satisfy the requirements of FIFA. The 2nd and more important issue was HOW did Malaysia make them Malaysian Citizens? With that comes the question, of whether these foreigners have already renounced their other nationalities/citizenship and are only now Malaysian citizens - because Malaysia does not allow DUAL citizenships. Thankfully, Malaysia has now commenced an INDEPENDENT local investigation...but note the 'silence' or the public position of PM Anwar Ibrahim?

3) The greatest disappointment with Pakatan Harapan's Anwar Ibrahim was the failure to do the promised PH's REFORMS - the repeal of bad laws....SOSMA, Sedition Act, Those 'censorship' and 'spying' provisions in Multimedia and Communication Act, Detention Without Trial laws,....
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (Jul 18) said that the Sedition Act is needed in cases involving comments against the royal institution. He also stressed that the Sedition Act would not be used if it involved criticisms against him in his role as the prime minister, according to Malay daily Utusan Malaysia. "As for criticisms against the prime minister, I have never used it as an excuse (to use the Sedition Act)," he reportedly said. CNA, 18/7/2023
"I do not agree that the Sedition Act should be used against those who criticise the prime minister and the government, but we will not tolerate anyone who tries to incite or slander to the point of touching on the 3R issues (rulers, race, religion)... let the police take action."You can criticise anything and anyone... but if you use sentiments, incite the Malays to hate the Chinese, incite people to use religion to accuse others of infidelity... I stress that I will not tolerate it," he[ Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim] added at the Madani Unity ceramah in conjunction with the Pulai parliamentary by-election at Taman Uda Utama, Perling, last night. - Malaysia Now, 4/9/2023
Anwar said Sedition Act only will be used for 3R - but reality shows otherwise - why not put is force Sedition (Amendment) Act 2015, which already received Royal Assent May 2015, and has been gazetted - BUT Still Not In Force. Section 3, amongst others, says '
Section 3 of the principal Act is amended—
(a) in subsection (1)—
(i) in paragraph (a), by deleting the words “or against any Government”;
(ii) by deleting paragraph (c);...
What it means when put in force means the Sedition Act will change as such ... interestingly to be in line with what Anwar Ibrahim has repeatedly assured Malaysians - Again 'TALK no ACTION' - and this is simple, all that is needed is for the Minister to put it into force...no need to go to Parliament - the King already approved.
3(1) A "seditious tendency" is a tendency -
(a) to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against any Ruler
or against any Government;(b) to excite the subjects of any Ruler or the inhabitants of any territory governed by any Government to attempt to procure in the territory of the Ruler or governed by the Government, the alteration, otherwise than by lawful means, of any matter as by law established;
(c) to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the administration of justice in Malaysia or in any State;(d) to
Which is exactly what Anwar said - only 3R - royalty, race and religion, and no more Sedition if we criticize the government or even the Prime Minister. So, tell me why Anwar had failed to 'walk the talk' - he can just cause to put into force the amendment Act - section 3(1(a), (i) and (ii) only - after all that is what Anwar said. Until the law is amended, law enforcement will act according the law as it is - and will not follow Anwar.
4) The growing disappointment in some of the MINISTERS chosen by PM Anwar Ibrahim alone - is it time for REFORM - should not Parliament VET and approve, any person that the Prime Minister wants to appoint as MINISTER and/or Deputy Minister - noting that any Minister in law has a lot of POWER they can exercise as Minister. The LAWS in Malaysia does not even now provide for CABINET or even Prime Minister's approval, let alone Parliamentary approval. SO, should we not make sure that only QUALIFIED, principled and good people are appointed MINISTERS or Deputy MINISTERS. Should there not be a LAW that requires at the very least CABINET approval for any actions of the Ministers? Sadly, Malaysian Ministers are 'too thick skinned' to graciously RESIGN when their MISTAKES or INCOMPETENCE are exposed...
5) If the King is charged with a criminal offence (not convicted), he cannot any longer be able to exercise his powers/duties as King. Article 33A(1) of the Federal Constitution says ' (1) Where the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is charged with an offence under any law in the Special Court established under Part XV he shall cease to exercise the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.'. The similar principle should apply to the Minister and even PM, but then PM Anwar Ibrahim appointed as Ministers and/or Deputy Ministers persons who were being tried for criminal offences - like Zahid Hamidi who was made also by Anwar Ibrahim one of the 2 Deputy Prime Minister?? The previous 2 Prime Ministers followed the principle by not appointing anyone in the 'court cluster' as members of their Cabinet...
7) PM Anwar also recently faced allegations with regard the Judiciary - allegations that he may have appointed persons as judges, elevated judges to become judges in higher courts, and even advised the King to appoint judges to HIGH judicial offices persons that were never recommended by the relevant Judicial Appointments Commission(JAC). Mere allegations that could not be verified by reference to JAC minutes because of OSA or 'confidentiality obligations imposed on members of JAC' = still outstanding - but still no ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY, and so, remains a QUESTION - did Anwar Ibrahim limit his choices to persons duly recommended by JAC or NOT?
8) PM Anwar is still to act on the request of the Rulers Conference(made in late 2022), that the JAC Act be amended to remove any(or all) role of the Prime Minister in choosing members of the JAC - now other that the 4 Heads of the Judiciary, the other 5 members are decided by the Prime Minister alone.
9) Then, there is the question of the 'ROYAL Addendum to Najib's Pardon' - our PM Anwar Ibrahim was not TRANSPARENT in disclosing the existence of the said Royal Addendum - finally it has been acknowledged but too late, I think.
Whether, PM Anwar thinks the Royal Addendum was invalid or contrary to law is a different matter all together. The position now is that Pardon Powers of a King/Ruler are limited - it must be as advised by the relevant Pardon Board - so, if the Pardon Board did not advise it, no King/Ruler can issue a Pardon Order or an Addendum Pardon Order as he pleases - only as advised by the relevant Pardon Board. The 2nd issue - what kind of Pardon Orders can the King/Ruler give - can he order that the pardoned serve his/her remaining prison sentence at HOME? The Constitution/Laws not clear - and as such clarity should be provided by the people - i.e. Parliament but PM Anwar Ibrahim has to date failed to bring to Parliament a proposed amendment that Parliament will debate and decide on the kind of Pardon Powers that a King/Ruler can give - Can a King/Ruler, in the exercise of Pardon powers order that the pardoned spend the rest of his/her prison term in a 4-star Hotel or Home? Do Pardon powers include granting of special rights to certain prisoners - like air-conditioned cells, special visitation-even conjugal rights, access to internet, single rooms, etc ...? Can Pardon powers include commuting prison terms to community service for a certain hours?
10) Then, there is the sudden withdrawal of the 1MDB suit against Riza(Najib's son in law) and others which was 1MDB's(a corporation) attempt to recover monies taken wrongly by others - a legitimate and justified action. The withdrawal would have happened on the instruction and/or approval of the Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim only - but no reason came, and 1MDB had to pay Riza and others cost for withdrawing the case.
11) Then, there were questionable laws like the Urban Renewal Act - that will change the current requirement of 100% consent of the owners (not squatters but legitimate owners) to just 80% or less - thus LEGAL owners of homes can be 'kicked out' of their homes/premises just because others said OK - but not THEM. Do they get home for home without any additional cost after redevelopment done - NO? Do the get free accommodation/premises whilst the construction is ongoing - NO? So, a law most discriminatory to the POOR - a law that will force people who have already settled payment of housing loans - to be forced to enter new loan agreements...
12) Worse, the recent allegations of manipulating Malaysian people's voices and opinions. Not only are many of our social media and online posts being blocked or 'censored', many a times without we even knowing - sometimes we end up blaming FB, Tik Tok, and other social media operators - when the real culprit may be our own Malaysian Government who asked it to be removed - the RIGHT way is for the government to inform the 'victim' that his/her post is being removed for this reason or that, or his account is closed - giving the victim the right to challenge the government action of causing his/her post to be removed or blocked. We also heard that a Malaysiakini investigation has uncovered a network of Facebook accounts allegedly used to artificially boost support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
A Malaysiakini investigation finds a network of 263 Facebook accounts engaged in astroturfing to artificially boost support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim...The discovery comes two years after Meta removed a separate, 600-account network engaged in pro-government manipulation, which it linked to the police. - Malaysiakini, 30/9/2025
This is and must be a SERIOUS crime - especially if it is done by Prime Minister or Government - It DECEIVES people by giving an FALSE impression that the PM, Minister or government enjoys popular support from so many - when in reality the opposite may be true. This kind of 'misrepresentation' can result in many being FOOLED to believe that PM and Government have popular support, and so they too support - this MUST be a serious CRIME - but to date the Communication Minister too has yet to speak on this, or suggest an enactment of a law that criminalizes such actions... B4, the print media, radio and TV (usually 'controlled' by government were used to give a 'false impression' about PM and Government - but now it is happening online - and worse, it is not only posting positive comments, but may also be blocking/removing/censoring comments critical of the PM and Government.
There are many other issues that emerged during the Premiership of Anwar Ibrahim ....
SO, MY FELLOW MALAYSIANS, WHAT SHOULD WE DO NOW - IGNORE IT AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT ELECTIONS, OR ACT NOW AND GET OUR MPs(OUR PEOPLES' REPRESENTATIVE) TO ACT NOW AND REMOVE THIS PRIME MINISTER FOR A BETTER PRIME MINISTER...
Some say lets just wait for the next GE - BUT if we wait as we did with Najib Razak, one wonders HOW MUCH MONIES Malaysia would have saved by reason of the 1MDB and related companies scandal, if the people and their MPs got rid of Najib as Prime Minister sooner, as soon as the allegations surfaced - now our losses are about RM50 Billion and more, and worse Malaysia and Malaysian government owned companies has LOST so much credibility in the business world - so waiting, means suffering wrongs and bad decision for months/years - after all we are talking about Anwar, who is not just the Prime Minister but also the Finance Minister (despite PH's assurance b4 that they will never again allow the same person to be BOTH Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
WORSE, a perusal of the Government Procurement Act gives the Finance Minister absolute power to spend our Malaysian people's monies - not even requiring any Cabinet approval, or even the Prime Minister's approval - and interestingly that Act provides for NO CRIME(with a Deterrent Sentence) by the Finance Minister personally if he does any wrong - and worse, Parliament passed it. True, finally we have a law that stipulates how government procurement is done - but what was clearly lacking was the 'check and balance' to prevent abuse by the Finance Minister - at the very least, there should have been a need for Cabinet approval, or better still for Parliamentary approval if the sum involved maybe exceeds RM5 million - but not there?
An anti-graft watchdog group has cautioned the government against unchecked powers in procurement under the new Government Procurement Bill, which it says would "grant extraordinary decision-making authority to the finance minister and state chief ministers.".. "Clause 10(1)(a), read together with Schedule 1, grants ministers and chief ministers power to approve procurement contracts valued above RM50 million for goods and services, and RM100 million for works, with no upper limit."Before making a decision, the minister must compel the Procurement Board to provide a recommendation (Clause 13(2)), but is not bound by it."Clause 13(3) expressly allows the minister to disregard the Board's view, and Clause 13(4) makes the minister's decision final and binding," C4 said in a statement. - NST, 26/8/2025
But, then even if the people ask, WILL OUR MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT do anything. It is sad that many believe that our MPs are USELESS after being elected - They seem to have adopted the 'SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL, SPEAK NO EVIL' - How many MPs have really spoken out against the PMs actions/omissions - have MPs from DAP, Amanah, PKR and UPKO done so? Are they in 100% agreement with all PM Anwar has done so far...or are they just TOO AFRAID and not 'wanting to rock the boat' - this failure during the reign of PM Najib Razak resulted in the Parliamentary FAILURE to prevent the wrong actions of the PM and the Executive then...and the inaction by many government MPs led to Malaysia suffering greater losses. REASONABLY, we should KICK OUT such MPs - because their silence and inaction is to be blamed...
Likewise, come next GE, just consider not voting for MPs that failed to even voice concern or disagreement with the wrongs done by PM Anwar and the MADANI government - the excuse that we have no choice but to be 100% supportive is unacceptable - it is an indication that such persons are simply NOT FIT to be MPs - the PEOPLES' Representative.
PEOPLE too have to be blamed - why did you vote for such a person to be your MP. We should reject all persons who do not have GUTS to point out the wrongs of their party leaders, their political party or the Prime Minister - without such quality, how can you be an effective MP - whose role is to be a CHECK AND BALANCE to ensure the PM and the Government does not abuse their powers OR do wrong that will affect Malaysians and all Malaysia.

This
provision effectively ends Malaysia’s long-held foreign policy of

is a legal framework that binds Malaysia’s economic, foreign, and
