Why did Malaysia vote AGAINST - and not abstain on moratorium of Death Penalty..

Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam abstained - but Malaysia voted against. Malaysia should at the very least abstained given the mood in Malaysia is now for the abolition of the death penalty...


Vote on Moratorium of Death Penalty

The draft resolution on a moratorium on the use of the death penalty (document A/67/457/Add.2) was adopted by a recorded vote of 111 in favour to 41 against, with 34 abstentions, as follows:
