Media reports about Anwar Ibrahim donating sacrificial cows - but the question in the minds of many is whether Anwar used his 'personal monies' - or was it really Malaysian people(or the Malaysian government) that donated these cows? If it was the government, then it is a 'MISREPRESENTATION' to say that Anwar Ibrahim donates...is it not. Should it not be PM Anwar Ibrahim, on behalf of the Malaysian government donates....
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today donated 260 sacrificial cattle in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha for distribution to the needy in the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency. Of the total, 155 cattle were distributed under the Korban MADANI programme across three state constituencies in Permatang Pauh, namely Seberang Jaya (54), Penanti (67) and Permatang Pasir (34), while the remaining 105 were donated to the Seberang Perai Tengah District Mosque. - Malaysian Reserve, 26/5/2026
ISSUE HERE
1) Is it not wrong for donations by the Prime Minister(personally), or the Malaysian Government to DISCRIMINATE between Malaysia's 222 Constituencies > Why only these constituencies - and not all Constituencies. If it is personal money, then he can to who he pleases, but if it is PUBLIC funds, then, it may be ABUSE of POWER - to just donate to his once Parliamentary Constituency that elected him and family members in past elections UNTIL in GE15 > when Nurul Izzah his daughter lost. If government funds, no problem if every constituency gets some sacrificial cows equitably...
THEN, there is more donations allegedly to the MEDIA ...

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim donated a cow to Kelab Media Elit Kedah (KMEK) in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidiladha. The cow donation was presented by senior political secretary to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Romli Ishak, to KMEK committee member, Wan Nabil Nasir as a token of appreciation for the role of media practitioners in the state.- Sun, 28/5/2026

WHY MEDIA..and in Kedah it was KELAB Media ELIT (is it open to all other media practitioners in alternative media? Did these MEDIA compromise in the journalism ethics - and reported BIAS manner in favour of Anwar and the government - just like a lot of world media today have been promoting a pro-Trump pro-US and pro-Israel narrative in the West?

Would such a donation benefit journalist from other faiths?
RECALL the preferential treatment he gave to his OLD school - when as Prime Minister, government money, if available, should be used for the schools with most pressing needs ... to ensure all children the right to good EDUCATION..
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced an allocation of RM500,000 for his alma mater, High School Bukit Mertajam. Of the total, Anwar said RM225,000 would be used for the construction of a surau, while another RM275,000 would be used to address other pressing needs. "There is a request by our children for a surau. I approve RM225,000. "Alternatively, I am approving another RM275,000 for other pressing constructions, including for health."I will relook further into other needs after receiving the requests," he said during a visit to his alma mater here this morning. - NST, 30/8/2024
As I mentioned earlier, NO PROBLEM here if it is OWN personal monies > but if it is Government Funds, then it may be considered an ABUSE of POWER..
And if it is GOVERNMENT FUNDS - be HONEST about it - don't give a wrong impression to the people that it is your own MONEY...ANWAR IBRAHIM must clarify???
Donating Sacrificial Cows for the poor and marginalized...the B40 makes sense - but this was not done based on media reports...
RECENTLY many in Sabah lost their homes and belongings due to FIRE
More than 9,000 residents were displaced after about 1,000 houses were razed in the fire. No casualties were reported. The Sabah government has since distributed RM2,000 in aid to the affected families. Each head of household received RM1,000 in special aid from the state government and another RM1,000 from Yayasan Kebajikan Sabah.
Report suggest AID came from the Sabah government - it was RM3000 for heads of household >> more should have been given possibly by Prime Minister and the Federal Government. The Government should have allocated money for temporary housing - and money for re-building of homes... did the Anwar Ibrahim's MADANI government do this?
Yes, Anwar went to Sabah to visit the victims of FIRE - but his visit as reported said he donated to ONLY 300 families affected...ODD because it was reported that 1,000 homes were affected > Did Anwar Ibrahim AID selected families ONLY and not the REST?
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today announced RM1,500 in cash aid for the 300 families whose homes at Kampung Bahagia in Sandakan, Sabah, were destroyed in a fire in Sunday. Anwar said the aid would be channelled through the implementation coordination unit of the Prime Minister’s Department and the National Disaster Management Agency. “Separately, the 454 students affected by the fire will receive RM300 in schooling aid,” he told reporters after visiting Kampung Bahagia today...Anwar also said the home ministry would replace identification documents, such as MyKad, death certificates and marriage certificates, for the victims for free. - FMT, 22/4/2026
Now, if it was the homes of the BAJAU LAUT community that was burnt down - Then serious investigations needed because previously the Government was accused of evicting by burning homes... so could the fire be started intentionally? It must be investigated....Thousands of people have been displaced after a fire destroyed around 1,000 homes in a coastal village in Malaysia's Sabah state on Borneo island on Sunday, the fire department said. Authorities were notified of the fire in Sandakan district at around 1.32 a.m. (1732 GMT), the district's fire and rescue chief Jimmy Lagung said in a statement. “Strong winds and the close proximity of the houses caused the fire to spread rapidly, while low tide conditions also made it difficult to obtain an open water source,” Lagung said. The fire broke out in one of Sabah's water villages, which feature wooden houses built on stilts and are home to some of the country's poorest communities, including many stateless and indigenous groups. Over 9,000 residents have been affected by the fire though no deaths have been reported, Sandakan police said, according to state news agency Bernama. - Straits Times, 19/4/2026
THE authorities in Sabah have denied setting fire at the homes of sea nomads or the Bajau Laut in Semporna during an eviction exercise recently. A video of the incident went viral on social media earlier this week. A statement from the state Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry today cited police personnel present at the time of incident seeing some of the homeowners burning their own houses during the operation. It noted that it was done to gain attention and sympathy among social media users.
“The operation was carried out due to security issues at the district level, following shooting incidents in Darvel Bay and cross-border criminal activities in the unauthorized settlement locations...The ministry stated that the eviction had been done lawfully, indicating the location had been within the Tun Sakaran Marine Park in Semporna, “From the perspective of compliance with the Parks Enactment 1984, the marine park is one of the areas proclaimed as a Park area or a State Park,” it said. Fishing, erecting structures without permission and farming are prohibited under the state law. The ministry also stated a total of 273 evacuation notices were distributed from May 2 to 4, 2024, with the demolition and evacuation of unauthorized settlements started from June 4 to 6, 2024, with 138 unauthorized settlements demolished in the hot zone. - Vibes, 7/6/2024
Following this incident, HR Defender Mukmin was arrested under SEDITION ACT (now, did not Anwar promise that Sedition Act will NEVER be used in such cases?
What 3R issue did Mukmin, who highlighted plight of Bajau Laut, justify the usage of Sedition Act?
Bajau Laut Human Rights Violation - Why is SUHAKAM just monitoring, when it should be investigating?
NOW, another case of Orang Asli homes being demolished when nobody was at home - a clear violation of LAW - but why has NO ONE been even arrested, investigated and charged in Court yet??
About 20 Orang Asli from the Jakun sub-group lost their homes after a
plantation company demolished six houses in Pekan, Pahang, on Monday. ...It was supposedly to enforce the company’s right to the land, which
was leased from a state-owned corporation for 30 years for an oil palm
plantation.Orang Asli activist Jaidi Musa said the incident
shocked the villagers as it was allegedly done without prior notice or
consultation....“How could you simply tear down the community’s houses when they were not at home?” Jaidi told Malaysiakini. - Malaysiakini, 8/5/2026
DID PM Anwar Ibrahim (personally) or the MADANI government go down and give AID and compensation - or helped these Orang Asli families build back their homes? SURELY the government must help...
LIKE past governments. this MADANI government also failed to amend the Federal Constitution to include the Peninsular Malaysia Orang Asli as an ethnic group requiring preferential treatment - it is easy, and I think all MPs will support such an amendment?
Orang Asli was here in Peninsular long before the Malays and others came, and their socio-economic situation preferential treatment. The Sabah and Sarawak natives/indigenous groups are included - only NOT the Peninsular Malaysia indigenous people ..only the Malay is mentioned for Peninsular Malaysia.
Now, like the Orang Asli, other indigenous groups like the Bajau Laut in Sabah never acknowledged the concept of 'private property' - they advocate that the land and sea belongs to all ... and, so it is of UTMOST urgency that the Malaysian Government addresses this issue - the allocation/recognition of 'Native Customary Rights Land/Property', etc...
THE ISSUES of Concern
Does Anwar Ibrahim and/or the MADANI government show EQUAL CONCERN AND CARE to all in Malaysia? All in Malaysia deserve equal attention and treatment by the Malaysian government?
If the Prime Minister, Minister or government is only 'concerned' for some areas, like one's constituency or a certain class of people(not the poor and marginalized), then is this not ABUSE of power?
Did PM Anwar Ibrahim hand out 'oranges' to the poor/marginalised who celebrated Chinese New Year - or is it only sacrificial cows to Muslims in certain areas/groups?
Let us look at PUBLIC Sports Facilities in Malaysia - does it exist in all CONSTITUENCIES in Malaysia today - at least Public football fields, sepak takraw/badminton courts, swimming pools, etc - or has this MADANI government like past governments only focused on Klang Valley and selective big towns ..
PUBLIC TRANSPORT - the Public Busses that go around the District/Towns once existed in the past - now only the bus-stops remain. One focus of the Transport Minister was to revive affordable public busses in all towns - as the distance between homes and even hospitals/police stations/government offices/shopping centres have grown - and there is NO public busses running for a person in a Malay kampung 15 Km away to get to even the hospital. And, in smaller towns and rural Malaysia, taxis too have disappeared - GRAB is just NOT affordable for the poor or even those earning RM1,700 minimum wage. Our current Minister of Transport got public busses for his State Negeri Sembilan - what about the rest of Malaysia > we do not have PUBLIC Transport.
ONE solution since PUBLIC TRANSPORT must service all areas where people live and work, and it normally is NOT PROFITABLE > the solution maybe that the LOCAL GOVERNMENT/COUNCIL be responsible for Public Transport... Remember many Malaysian do not have driving licenses, or simply cannot drive - that is WHY Public Transport is VERY IMPORTANT especially for smaller towns and rural Malaysia... SADLY, this MADANI government failed to deal with this...same with previous BN governments...
FUEL prices went up following the US-Israel unlawful war against Iran > and Malaysia did not have the OPTION to shift to public transport (simply because not available in most places) - and so Malaysian still had to use OWN vehicles and buy higher priced petrol - which the government had to spend a lot of MONIES to keep petrol prices down >> and evidence that PM Anwar Ibrahim's MADANI Government failed in this area...??? Most modern developed countries are PRIORITISING Public Transport - and discouraging usage of private vehicles - but Malaysia is not following suit. This is an issue of HEALTH, Environment, ENERGY saving, public care...
Every time PM Anwar Ibrahim makes 'DONATIONS' - Malaysians are concerned - should the monies of the Government be better utilized to BENEFIT all Malaysians...???
PM Anwar donates 260 sacrificial cattle for needy in Permatang Pauh

BUKIT MERTAJAM — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today donated 260 sacrificial cattle in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha for distribution to the needy in the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency.
The Prime Minister said the sacrificial rite was not just a religious ritual, but carried a broader message of obedience to Allah SWT, as well as the enduring spirit of sacrifice and perseverance in life.
“Firstly, it is an act of obedience to Allah SWT. Secondly, (it reflects) the spirit of sacrifice, as life is meaningless without patience and perseverance.
“This additional strength (makes) the act of worship more beneficial to the community. It is true that the sacrificial rite is an act of worship, but it also benefits families and the wider community,” he said at the sacrificial cattle distribution ceremony here today, which was also attended by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said a new approach was introduced this year in the implementation of the sacrificial ritual, with financially able participants contributing part of the cost to help ensure its success.
According to him, the approach would help participants gain a deeper appreciation of the meaning of sacrifice, as they also contribute directly to its success.
He said appreciation of the sacrifice should also be reflected in efforts to support the people, particularly the poor, the underprivileged and those facing hardship.
“So while we have the ‘rezeki’, we should use it to ease the burden of the community around us. That is why, when I was entrusted to lead, I felt we could not simply wait for the poor or persons with disabilities to send us a ‘memo’ before taking action.
“The true spirit of sacrifice is to make use of available space and opportunities to assist as many groups as possible, particularly those who are left behind, the poor and the needy,” he said.
On the issue of sacrificial cattle allocation, which has become a talking point, Anwar, who is also the Tambun Member of Parliament, said in jest that he also distributed similar assistance in his constituency, but Permatang Pauh would always hold a special place in his heart.
Earlier at the sacrificial cattle distribution ceremony for the Permatang Pasir state constituency at Masjid Al-Falah, Pengkalan Tambang, the Prime Minister was also accompanied by his children and grandchildren, who took time to meet and interact with local residents.
Anwar also inspected the progress of the Masjid Jamek Cherok Tok Kun project, which is expected to serve as a centre of worship, knowledge and unity for the local community, before later handing over sacrificial cattle to community representatives in Cherok Tok Kun.
The Prime Minister also made a brief visit to his family home in Cherok Tok Kun, where he spent time catching up with family members and relatives. –BERNAMA, Malaysian Reserve, 26/5/2026
Anwar donates sacrificial cow to Pahang media practitioners
KUANTAN, May 28 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has donated a sacrificial cow to media practitioners in Pahang for this year’s Aidiladha celebration, in recognition of the role journalists play in connecting the government and the people.
The donation, made for the first time, was received by Pahang Press, which organised the qurban programme at Kampung Anak Air here with the assistance of about 40 members of the Tok Peramu Qurban Squad.
Pahang Press chairman Fazli Ahmad said the initiative enabled the distribution of sacrificial meat to journalists and photographers from various print and electronic media organisations, as well as residents of Kampung Anak Air.
“Pahang Press would like to express its deepest appreciation to the Prime Minister for donating a cow for the ritual sacrifice, with the meat distributed to media personnel.
“For media practitioners in Pahang, this gesture carries special meaning as it reflects recognition of our role in delivering information and serving as a bridge between the government and the people,” he told reporters here today.
He said the programme also served as a platform to foster cooperation among media practitioners through gotong-royong activities, including giving some participants their first experience in preparing sacrificial meat.
“This is a different experience because we not only received sacrificial meat, but also strengthened ties through the spirit of cooperation. Most importantly, it reflects the Prime Minister’s appreciation for the role of media personnel in Pahang,” he said. — Bernama, Malay Mail, 28/5/2026

About 20 Orang Asli from the Jakun sub-group lost their homes after a plantation company demolished six houses in Pekan, Pahang, on Monday.
According to the Pahang Orang Asli Villages Network (JKOAP), a group of people, accompanied by police, arrived at the small village called Kampung Sungai Baru and began tearing down the houses.
It was supposedly to enforce the company’s right to the land, which was leased from a state-owned corporation for 30 years for an oil palm plantation.
Orang Asli activist Jaidi Musa said the incident shocked the villagers as it was allegedly done without prior notice or consultation.
The JKOAP treasurer claimed the area was part of the Orang Asli customary land where the five families had lived for several generations.

“The issue here is why was the demolition carried out without any prior notice and discussion with the community?
“Any such action should not have been taken without meeting the villagers first.
“How could you simply tear down the community’s houses when they were not at home?” Jaidi told Malaysiakini.
Following the incident, two villagers lodged police reports to object to the demolition and complain about the losses suffered.
One of them, a 58-year-old villager, said he only learned his house was torn down upon returning to the village on Monday afternoon.

The victim said he was dissatisfied because many of his family’s belongings, including their kitchen stove, crockery, and school books, were damaged in the incident.
‘Orang Asli moved in during pandemic’
According to a video Jaidi shared with Malaysiakini, the group responsible for the demolition had gone to the village in several pick-up trucks. A Toyota Hilux emblazoned with the words “Polis Paloh Hinai” was also on scene.
When contacted, Pekan district police chief Zaidi Mat Zin said that police were there only to monitor the demolition.
He said the Pekan police headquarters was notified of the company’s plan and sent a team to ensure no untoward incidents between the parties.
Zaidi, however, denied the claim that the Orang Asli community had been staying on the land for a long time.

“The land is owned by the Perbadanan Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Pahang (PSK), which leased it to (name of another company).
“The Orang Asli were just there recently. They took the opportunity during the (Covid-19 pandemic) movement control order to move there, as the company was not present then,” he said.
Malaysiakini is withholding the plantation company’s name pending its response. Various attempts have been made to reach the firm, including visiting its registered address, but to no avail.
‘Puzzled’ by company’s approach
Meanwhile, PSK chief executive officer Sharuddin Jali told Malaysiakini that they would summon the plantation company for an explanation.
Sharuddin said the land was leased to the company last year, and their demolition operation on Monday was carried out without PSK’s involvement.

“Usually, when PSK handles such a matter, we would engage (authorities) for unified enforcement. There are processes, including consulting with villagers first, not immediate enforcement.
“However, this time the company said they want to do it themselves. So, since they want to handle it, we did not get involved.
“I am also puzzled by their approach. So we will call them for an explanation,” Sharuddin said.
When asked if PSK would engage the affected Orang Asli community, he said they would decide after the discussion.
Malaysiakini has also contacted the Orang Asli Affairs Department for comments. - Malaysiakini, 8/5/2026
Sea nomads torched their own homes: Sabah authorities
State authorities say the eviction operation had been done lawfully

THE authorities in Sabah have denied setting fire at the homes of sea nomads or the Bajau Laut in Semporna during an eviction exercise recently. A video of the incident went viral on social media earlier this week.
A statement from the state Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry today cited police personnel present at the time of incident seeing some of the homeowners burning their own houses during the operation.

“The operation was carried out due to security issues at the district level, following shooting incidents in Darvel Bay and cross-border criminal activities in the unauthorized settlement locations.
“The sovereignty of the nation's laws in force in this issue must be upheld,” it said in a statement in Kota Kinabalu today.
The incident had gained international news media attention. The Bajau Laut communities or Palauh are known to be nomads and live most of their lives at sea.
The ministry stated that the eviction had been done lawfully, indicating the location had been within the Tun Sakaran Marine Park in Semporna,
“From the perspective of compliance with the Parks Enactment 1984, the marine park is one of the areas proclaimed as a Park area or a State Park,” it said.
