Sacking of 15 Immigration officers on the face of it looks like it is right...BUT is it not a violation of worker rights? They have not yet been convicted of any criminal offence, have they? Are these officers mere 'scapegoats'? Is it an attempt to 'cover up' the truth or maybe even save the real criminal masterminds?
What happened to those police officers that tortured and killed persons in custody, to those police officers that helped 'cover-up', to those who made false police reports and even false entries in their police diaries, to those who 'hid' or 'destroyed' relevant evidence. Remember the EAIC reports on the cases of Syed Mohd Azlan and N. Dharmendran...In the case of N Dharmendra, apparently a few officers been charged for the killing - but not yet those who made false entries/reports, 'covered up', etc - read the EAIC report/statement..
