Selangor government's own University, and take note that since March 2008, it has been a Pakatan Rakyat Selangor State Government - but alas, embarrassingly a perusal of UNISEL's website still shows us that there seem to be no Malaysian Chinese, Malaysian Indian sitting as Chancellors, Board of Directors and/or the University Administration.
This certainly is so UMNO-led BN - but then many in PKR are former UMNO, and it looks that the same policy and practice is being followed. Surely Pakatan Rakyat partners must intervene and show that Pakatan Rakyat is different. I am sure that there are qualified Malaysian Chinese...Malaysian Indians...Malaysian Sri Lankans... that could be appointed to the Board, etc to reflect Selangor's people...It would also be good to have people from the different main religions in the Board.

Where is the ' REFORMASI ' ? Were they only 'chants' for ceramahs/gatherings and not really meant to be implemented? I thought it was a promise to bring about REAL changes...

if the existing people are qualified to be there, i dont see the need of any changes. if they fail their kpi, pls replace them as fast as possible
if they sit there just to collect fees, pls sack them
to me reformasi doesnt mean all races have to be represented in this uni but ethics / practises / business dealings have to be 'clean' and 'fair' at all times
Appreciate your efforts to inform readers of your blog on the racial line-up of UNISEL, but with all due respect, should the non-Malays be surprised at all ? This has been the situation for a very long time. The same situation is seen in many or nearly all government instituitons and the civil service. The only loophole for the UMNO racist leaders to answer is that non-Malays do not apply for those jobs, but we all know the reason/s why don't we?
On the other hand it may not be surprising non-Malays are not interested in those jobs, especially in institutions of higher learnig because they know the kind of standards that exist in local universities, be they government or private.
It does not take a rocket scientist to know why majority of the unemployed graduates in the country are Malays. Who the hell wants to employ them when they can't even put together one sentence in English.
And as for PKR and UMNO...what's the difference, especially those PKR Malay/Indian Muslim members? Most of them were ex-UMNO members who did not get their share of the pie.
The reason is, Unisel just cannot sack its staff just to give it to others...
does it matter as long they performed u want indians to be in? try going to klcc, ioi mal sunway pyramid and the curve..u see bundles of indians taxi drivers refused to use meters ...? that where "intelliegent " indians are ...cut the crap of indian chinese malays...get the job done..
